Last night was the 14th night of Best Of Wine Tourism, organised by the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Bordeaux at the Palace of the Bourse in Bordeaux. A divine night, hosted by Armelle (the real thing) and Benjamin Bardel. a relaxed, upbeat and caring atmosphere! It seems to me that this is the 8th edition in which I participate and I confess that it is my favorite!

Since its inception in 2004, contest “Best Of Wine Tourism” is intended to promote wine tourism industry and support the pursuit of excellence and the highest standards of quality in wine tourism. These Awards encourage the development of tourism by distinguishing properties, and other providers who comply with international best practice.

Display your Excellency for your visitors
A trophy and a home plate are given to winning a Best Of properties. So, the quality of the wine tourism services is displayed at the entrance to the property. The trophy, if he is well highlighted, will also resonate with visitors.
• Promote and enhance your image at the national and international level
The competition Best Of Wine Tourism has important national and international media coverage which guarantees the winners a forward active down to the general public as well as professional actors tourism.
This promotion takes place by a strong presence on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram…). The Best Of Bordeaux (www.bestofwinetourism.fr) website and the Great Wine Capitals (www.greatwinecapitals.com) are also widely referenced. Each issue gives rise to the edition of a mini-guide, french and international, edited to more than 10,000 copies and downloadable online on various platforms.
• Develop and expand your range of skills
Many activities are implemented to allow recipients to develop their wine tourism offer.
In being rewarded with a Best Of, properties join the Club Best Of, which brings together the winners of the 3 latest vintages of the contest. In this context, the winners are regularly invited to the Club meetings that allow them to train and share their experiences and know-how in the field of wine tourism. The winners receive practical training proposed by the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Bordeaux. Through the social network iCCI, they are informed of the Club’s events, new publications online,… The platform can also be used to communicate and “network” with other properties with, also received a Best Of awards.
• Benefit from programs dedicated to the general public or to professionals
Different programs are regularly organized to bring visitors in the properties:
–BOBB, Best Of Bordeaux Bus: It is opening the doors of the winning properties to students through tours by bus and introductory courses in oenology. The objective is to sensitize students to the Bordeaux wine through wine tourism. -The Best Of Tours: For the public, this program offers to market various circuits of visits to several appellations of Bordeaux vineyard during the tourist season, highlighting always winning a Best Of Wine Tourism properties. -The Best Of Speed Business Meetings: These meetings professional, reserved for the Best Of Club properties, are designed to bring together winners Best Of and receptive agencies. -Éduc ‘ towers and home of journalists
