Siaurac is the story of a passion. Because Paul Goldschmidt, the owner, had ties to family and friends in the wine, because his grandfather had created an amazing garden of rhododendrons, because, consultant professional, he thought that everything was easy and went headlong into this fabulous adventure. His mission: put its wines at the top of their names, what their terroir allows them to be, and do Siaurac a unique setting to create links between its vineyards and lovers. Program: # discovery of the market of Libourne with Paul Goldschmidt and meets with his favorite producers of fruits and vegetables, butcher fishmongers, Creamer… A very nice moment where all senses are awake!
# Arrival at the castle for a friendly cooking course for about 2 hours with the head of the Castle, Jean-François Robert (I personally learned to make eggs molles in brilliance of pistachio shell! #miam). # After this delicious cooking classes, go to the dining room of the castle for an absolutely divine brunch. The dishes prepared upstream are ideally presented with other dishes, along with 6 Siaurac wines! You choose your best deal puts & wine! # And then a visit to the area is possible but also and especially the possibility to relax in the magnificent park of the Castle, in a Deckchair in the Sun… with a coffee or a glass of wine! A rich and perfect program you can do 7/7 on reservation from 2 to 6 people. €276 per person, on reservation.
The Castle also offers some other very nice WineDays. They end with a moment of relaxation in the park where NAP, petanque, reading or croquet are!
The Classic WineDay: visit the winery and tasting workshop, followed by a lunch ‘market return’ accompanied Siaurac wines, served in the Orangery or in the garden. €90 per person, on reservation.
The Prestige WineDay: visit the area and workshop tasting, followed by a lunch prepared by the Chef, accompanied by the three great wines of Siaurac, served in one of the private rooms of the Castle or under the tulip tree in Virginia. €136 per person, on reservation.
The Gourmet WineDay: visit the area and workshop tasting, followed by a meal offered by the Chef with a multitude of small dishes of local, seasonal, and noble products in accordance with the 6 wines, served in one of the private rooms of the Castle or under the tulip tree in Virginia. €156 per person, on reservation.
Thanks to the presence of the Chief, the Castle offers his table every day from €18 for a slate of Basque charcuterie and cheeses, €32 for menu “return of the market”, €48 and €56 for a lunch and dinner at the Castle as well as brunch on Sunday at €36. All these services are by reservation. And to finish off, the Castle enjoys lovely guest rooms to live the good life as if in a dream! In short, wine tourism is a real art to live at the Chateau Siaurac. For a time both friendly, quiet and delicious, I recommend this immersion in territory of Lalande de Pomerol.
